Note to rich, future self

… Hire a personal chef to make all lunches and a few dinners – maybe three dinners a week?

I think I waste a lot of time trying to figure out what I can make for lunch that’s quick, healthy and simple. And then I end up with something like this:


Scrambled eggs with tomatoes over rice mixed with soy sauce and sesame oil. My mother’s probably wondering why her bottle of sesame oil is depleting so fast when it took her almost a year to finish the last one. Is this healthy?

Not that I don’t love eggs and rice with soy sauce and sesame oil. I’d be eating this and instant noodles all the time if they were healthy.

And, I like to think I should be trying to cook new things. How plebian of me to eat the same things over and over again. And, quinoa is quick and easy, right? Yeah, you’re right, I shouldn’t make that huge jump from scrambled eggs to quinoa salads.

Oh well.
