Grateful Sundays: October 21, 2012

Here we go:

  1. Ikea: Those geniuses.

I know that people tend to have a love-hate relationship with Ikea – haven’t met anyone who’s in between about the stores. I, of course, love it. I went there this week to find the supplies for a DIY stand up desk and along the way found a frame for my diploma.

Spent a total of $30. Got to admire some nice layouts and designs. Ogle a cute guy. Good stuff.

  2. Nail Polish: I’ve recently developed a strong interest in all things nail polish. I haven’t done much experimenting in terms of design, but I love seeing what other people do. Particularly on Pinterest and Tumblr. If you’re interested, I’d recommend the blog, The Beauty Department, for some cool nail designs. The plus to the blog: they deal with all things beauty. Or for Tumblr lovers, I’d recommend Miss Ladyfingers.
  3. Fall!: I love autumn. I love cold weather. I love cool mornings. I love the crisp air. I love fall!
  4. Cantonese music: I’ve been trying to get more into Chinese music. I’ve never had a strong interest before because practically all Chinese music now are just ballads. Few Chinese artists have ventured into hip-hop or more electronic styles. In the end, I find the more pop-ish music with Cantonese artists. I’ve had this song on repeat the past week:

Mr. feat. LMF 渣緊中指- great lyrics too.
  5. Spotify: I adore Spotify now. I’ve been able to find all these artists and listen to their top songs without having to decipher that for myself by searching on YouTube. I guess my only complaint would be that it doesn’t have much Chinese songs, but that’s to be expected.
